According to reports a 23 year old man was fatally injured while maneuvering his motorcycle around a fallen tree. The accident occurred in the vicinity of Stock Drive in the area of the Parker Flat Off road Vehicle Park. The man who has been identified as Jason Byfield, according to reports by the California Highway Patrol was maneuvering around a fallen tree at the same time as a motorcyclist that was coming in the other direction when they meant head-on. The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the other rider has been identified as Paul Albanese II age 21 and a resident of Citrus Heights. Bafield was transported to a local hospital where he later died from the injuries he sustained in the crash according to California Highway Patrol spokesman Kevin Mendonca. Albanese also sustained injuries in the crash, however according to Mandonca the injuries he sustained were not available at the time or his condition.
