17 December 2004 – LAWFUEL – First for law news – Allen & Overy is advising Netherlands-based CSM on the sale of its European sugar confectionary business to CVC Capital Partners for a price of €850 million.
The sale is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2005 and is subject to regulatory approval.
Corporate partner Pervez Akhtar is leading the Allen & Overy team, assisted by associates Matt Rees, James Herbert, William Ingram Hill and George Dunnett. Partner Colin Pearson is advising on IP/IT issues and transitional arrangements. Teams are also being fielded in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Russia and Poland.
