Majority of New Partners are Women for the First Time in Firm’s History
Also Introduces Innovative New Partner Category “Flex-Time Partner”
New York, November 27, 2006 – LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs Network – Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, the international law firm, announced the election of 20 attorneys to the partnership effective January 1, 2007.
For the first time in Weil Gotshal’s history, a majority of the partnership class consists of women.
Additionally, Weil Gotshal has created a new partnership category, “Flex-Time Partner,” which was formed for new partners making a long-term career choice to work on a flexible schedule. Of the eleven women who were elected partner, two work on a flex-time basis. The “Flex-Time Partner” title, however, is available to both women and men entering the partnership.

Earlier this month, Dannhauser was named the YWCA-New York’s first Man of the Year and received Legal Momentum’s first “Champion of Diversity Award” for his commitment to women’s rights and the advancement of women.
Moreover, Women@Weil, the Firm’s affinity group for women, was applauded and prominently highlighted by Catalyst – a leading research organization that conducts research on all aspects of women’s careers – in its 2006 benchmarking report.
