LawFuel.com- Australia Law News – Ms Rosalyn Hillary Lapsley, of Double Bay, New South Wales, was today found not guilty by a jury in the Sydney District Court in relation to one charge under the NSW Crimes Act 1900 arising from an investigation by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
It had been alleged that Ms Lapsley recklessly made a false statement to an investor to encourage him to invest into a high yield investment scheme known as the J&R Trust.
This matter was prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
