ATLANTA (May 25) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Partner Lorraine M. Brennan will be a featured speaker at Fordham Law School’s Second Annual Conference on International Arbitration and Mediation, which is being held June 18-19, in New York City. The annual meeting brings together expert international practitioners (both in-house and outside counsel), academicians, and government officials from around the world. Ms. Brennan will be speaking on how U.S. courts are reacting to the parties’ choice of ethics and codes and the implications.
She has recently been the keynote speaker at a number of high-profile international arbitration conferences around the world including Buenos Aires, Vienna and Monterrey, Mexico. In the past three months alone, Ms. Brennan has spoken at conferences sponsored by prestigious organizations such as the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), the Practising Law Institute (PLI), the American Bar Association and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
Most recently, Ms. Brennan was a featured speaker at a conference sponsored by the ICC Mexican National Committee; the National Association for Business Lawyers; and one of the biggest law firms in Mexico, Basham, Ringe, and Correa. She was the only American speaker invited to speak at the event.
Ms. Brennan is a partner in the firm’s New York office where she is a member of the International Dispute Resolution Team. Prior to joining Kilpatrick Stockton, Ms. Brennan served as Director of Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, North America, ICC International Court of Arbitration. During her tenure, she acted as the American advisor to the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, France. Ms. Brennan serves as an adjunct law professor at both Cornell Law School and Georgetown University Law Centre. She has also served as a Visiting Professor at Shantou University in Shantou, China.
