LAWFUEL- The Law News Wire – Davis Polk & Wardwell is advising Aetna Inc. on its proposed acquisition of Schaller Anderson, Incorporated, a leading provider of health care management services for Medicaid plans. Aetna is one of the nation’s leading diversified health care benefits companies, serving approximately 34.9 million people with information and resources to help them make better informed decisions about their health care.
According to the terms of the transactions, Aetna will acquire Schaller Anderson for approximately $535 million in cash. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including federal Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust regulatory approval, and is expected to close during the third quarter of 2007.
