VIDALIA, Ga. – Special Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Vidalia Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Vidalia man wanted in connection with the thefts of multiple firearms from a federal firearms licensee in May.
Eddie Lee Scott Jr., 18, is a black male, 5’10” tall, and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Investigators believe Scott may still be in the State of Georgia or may have fled to southern Florida, possibly working construction jobs in and around the Fort Lauderdale area.
The charges stem from Scott’s alleged participation in two back-to-back burglaries of the same retail gun dealer in Vidalia, Ga. A total of thirty-eight firearms were stolen during the crimes, occurring just one week apart.
