ATLANTA (August 29) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Partner Lorraine M. Brennan will be a featured speaker at the Second Annual International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Conference, which is being held September 24, at the Hilton in New York City. The conference will bring together current members of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, expert international practitioners (both in-house and outside counsel) and academicians from around the world.

The focus of this year’s conference will be arbitrator independence and the workings of the Court. Ms. Brennan will be speaking on a panel focusing on international judicial decisions on the issue of arbitrator independence and enforcement.

Over the past year alone, Ms. Brennan has been the keynote speaker at a number of high-profile international arbitration conferences around the world including Buenos Aires, Vienna and Monterrey, Mexico. These conferences were sponsored by prestigious organizations such as the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), the Practising Law Institute (PLI), the American Bar Association and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.

Ms. Brennan is a partner in the firm’s New York office where she is a member of the International Dispute Resolution Team. Prior to joining Kilpatrick Stockton, Ms. Brennan served as Director of Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, North America, ICC International Court of Arbitration. During her tenure, she acted as the American advisor to the International Court of Arbitration in Paris, France. Ms. Brennan serves as an adjunct law professor at both Cornell Law School and Georgetown University Law Centre. She has also served as a Visiting Professor at Shantou University in Shantou, China.
