WASHINGTON & CHICAGO– LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire –International law firm Jones Day has added five antitrust partners in Washington and Chicago.
Geoffrey Oliver, former head of the Anticompetitive Practices Division of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, will join the firm’s Washington office on November 1 as a partner. William F. Dolan, Paula W. Render, Michael Sennett and Pamela L. Taylor have joined the Chicago office as partners from Bell, Boyd & Lloyd, LLP.
Earlier this year, Bruce McDonald, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, became a partner in the Washington and Houston offices.

Mr. Oliver represented clients in M&A and conduct investigations and in class action and criminal antitrust litigation for O’Melveny & Myers, in both their Washington and Brussels offices, before joining the FTC in 1998, where he had substantial experience, among other things, in antitrust issues involving intellectual property. He is a graduate of Harvard University (B.A. cum laude, 1979) and Cornell Law School (J.D. magna cum laude, 1985).
Mr. Dolan has over 20 years of experience in courts throughout the nation, and concentrates his practice on the resolution of complex commercial disputes. He is a graduate of Columbia University (B.A. cum laude, 1979) and Columbia University School of Law (J.D. with honors, 1982).
Ms. Render, who focuses on deceptive trade practices and litigation, spent 10 years in marketing with AT&T prior to practicing law. She is a graduate of American University (B.A., 1983) and University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 1996).
Mr. Sennett, who chaired Bell Boyd’s antitrust practice, counsels on transactions and investigations before the DOJ, FTC, State Attorneys General and in antitrust litigation matters. He is a graduate of Quincy University (A.B. with honors, 1973) and Loyola University Chicago School of Law (J.D. cum laude, 1977).
Ms. Taylor concentrates on the antitrust aspects of M&A, licensing and distribution for clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, medical product and heavy equipment industries. She is a graduate of Wellesley College (B.A. cum laude, 1987) and Boston University School of Law (J.D., 1990).
