CLEVELAND–LAWFUEL – Law Firm Announcement Service – Kip T. Bollin, a partner at the law firm Thompson Hine LLP, has been elected secretary of the Northern District of Ohio chapter of the Federal Bar Association. The Federal Bar Association is the professional development organization for lawyers and judges involved in federal practice. Bollin was voted into office during the association’s annual meeting on October 25, 2007, for a term of one year. He also serves as chair of the association’s Continuing Legal Education committee.
Bollin is a member of Thompson Hine’s Product Liability Litigation practice group. He represents major corporations in the defense of mass torts, toxic torts, bacterial torts, putative class actions, employment-related torts and premises liability actions. Bollin also defends major manufacturers of both heavy industrial and consumer products in claims involving serious economic and physical damages. He handles major commercial claims, the defense of False Claims Act (qui tam) claims, insurance coverage disputes and copyright infringement claims.
