(LAWFUEL) – Adams and Reese LLP is pleased to announce that four attorneys have joined the firm as associates in three of its regional offices.
Jason Mueller rejoins the firm’s New Orleans office as a member of the Intellectual Property Team in the Special Business Services Practice Group after spending three years in New York, NY and Frankfurt, Germany practicing United States patent law. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, evaluation and related counseling with a particular emphasis in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts. Mr. Mueller’s experience includes preparing and prosecuting both foreign and domestic patent applications and covers a range of technologies including automotive devices, medical devices, manufacturing equipment, composite materials and computer software. Mr. Mueller also has experience in patent litigation in the fields of computer software and consumer products. His litigation experience involves matters relating to patent validity, infringement, injunctive relief and damages.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mueller worked for four years as a mechanical engineer with International Paper Corporation and URS Corporation as a project manager, lead mechanical engineer and detail design engineer. Mr. Mueller’s engineering experience spans several industries including chemical, power generation, water treatment, aerospace and pulp and paper and includes the design of process and support facilities from conceptual definition and detail design through construction and start-up. He is admitted to practice in courts throughout the state of Louisiana, and is a licensed patent attorney before the Unites States Patent and Trademark Office.
Jaimme Collins joins the New Orleans office as a member of the Litigation Practice Group focusing on commercial litigation matters. She has experience litigating matters; defending and conducting depositions; preparing witnesses for trial testimony; and interviewing and investigating plaintiff’s allegations. Additionally, she writes Applications for Supervisory Writ; gives oral arguments before Louisiana Courts of Appeals; prepares and argues dispositive pre-trial motions; and prepares and organizes trial exhibits and expert witness materials.
Ms. Collins earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2005 from Loyola University Law School where she served on the Moot Court Board and coached the Mardi Gras and Pepperdine Moot Court Teams. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Collins worked in Washington D.C. where she gained experience in the White House and on Capitol Hill. In 2000, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Emory University. While a student at Emory, Ms. Collins served as Managing Editor of The Fire This Time monthly magazine and as Editor in Chief of The Spokesman monthly newspaper. She also served as President of the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Ms. Collins is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Young Leadership Council (YLC). In 2006, she served as an Executive Officer with the YLC, and served as a Board Member in 2006-2007.
Reginald “Reggie” Jones joins the Special Business Services Practice Group in the firm’s Jackson office. He is experienced in the areas of labor and employment, as well as education law and health care.
Mr. Jones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management with high honors in 2003 from the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a Dean’s List Scholar and a member of numerous honor societies. In 2008, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law where he was a member of the Black Law Student Association, served as Secretary of the Health Law Association, and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mock team. He was also the recipient of the “American Jurisprudence Award for Law and Medicine.” While in law school, Mr. Jones completed externships with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office, The Mississippi Department of Insurance, and the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration.
William “Will” Lawler, Jr. joins the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services Practice Group in the firm’s Birmingham office. His practice focuses on real estate and banking and finance matters. He also regularly negotiates contracts on behalf of financial institutions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lawler practiced in the area of business and commercial litigation and defended individuals and corporations in a variety of litigation matters. Mr. Lawler earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2002 from Samford University where he was named to the Dean’s List and was the recipient of an athletic scholarship to play varsity football. He earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University where he was on the Dean’s List and named Scholar of Merit in Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school, Mr. Lawler was also a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
