According to reports by Los Angeles criminal defense attorneys, the latest legal news indicates that a player that formerly played on the Los Angeles Rams has been arrested on rape charges and has been identified as Tony Zendejas.

Zendejas age 48 was arrested on Thursday July 10th for allegedly drugging and raping a woman who was at his sports bar, San Dimas Sports Bar; this is according to statements from the Los Angeles District Attorneys Office. The charges that he is facing are rape with the use of drugs, sodomy by a controlled substance, sodomy of an unconscious person, and also rape of an unconscious person. Each of these charges are a felony in the state of California.

In a statement from Zendejas attorney, Timothy Younger, Zendejas was released the same afternoon on $260,000 bail. Attorney Younger went onto say that his client is both taken aback as well as astonished at the accusations against him and he wants to clear his name.

The charges these charges come from an incident that occurred January 26th of this year when he served a woman a drink at Zendejas Mexican Restaurant, which he owns. The woman claims she became sleepy and later woke at a motel near the vicinity of the restaurant and contacted the police that she had been raped.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives investigated the allegations of the woman’s claims.
