Josh Dambacher, a partner in the investment management group who is based in the firm’s London office, concentrates his practice on hedge funds, private equity funds, investment advisers, investment management businesses, regulatory compliance, seed capital and joint venture arrangements. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2001; an M.B.A. from Purdue University, where he was Phi Beta Kappa, in 1998; and a B.B.A., with distinction, from the University of Missouri in 1996.
William H. Gussman, a partner in the litigation group with extensive trial and ADR experience, focuses his practice on the representation of prime brokers, accounting firms, hedge funds (including “activist” funds), private equity funds, investment banks and others in complex commercial litigation, including the defense of securities law and officer and director liability claims; bankruptcy litigation; post-closing disputes on behalf of both buyers and sellers; and internal investigations. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1996 and his B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Dartmouth College in 1993.
Jason S. Kaplan, a partner in the investment management group, focuses his practice on advising hedge funds, private equity funds and investment advisers in connection with their formation and operation, ongoing structural and operational needs, general securities law matters and other compliance and trading matters. He was awarded a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2001 and a B.S. from the University of Michigan in 1998.

Scott A. Gold, a special counsel in the employment and employee benefits group, focuses his practice on all aspects of employment law, including employment discrimination, labor relations and ERISA litigation. He obtained his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993, his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1990, and a G.C. from the London School of Economics in 1989.
Neil P. Horne, a special counsel in the business transactions group, focuses his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate and securities matters. He obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1995 and his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Williams College in 1992.
David J. Karp, a special counsel in the business reorganization group, focuses his practice on corporate restructuring, special situations and distressed investments, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and bankruptcy aspects of structured finance. He received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1999 and his B.S. from Cornell University in 1996.
Beate Krieger, a special counsel in the investment management group, focuses her practice on the structuring, formation and ongoing compliance needs of private equity funds and hedge funds, including fund of funds, and the negotiation of seed capital and joint venture arrangements.
