According to reports by Ehline Law injury attorneys in Los Angeles, a late night accident sent one person to the hospital and injured others after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The crash was a one vehicle crash, a driver of a gray Lexus lost control of the vehicle and struck the center divider. The vehicle smashed the guard rail according to the California Highway Patrol causing the Lexus to flip over and sending splintered pieces of the guardrail 200 feet below onto Sepulveda Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol while the Lexus was rolled over a Toyota Corolla struck it and this up-righted the Lexus. The driver of the Lexus has been identified as Kevin Rahedane age 33 and resident of West Hills. Rahedane was transported to the hospital with fractured ribs, serious head injuries and other injuries; the California Highway Patrol reported Rahedane was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
According to the California Highway Patrol the driver of the Toyota Corolla was a teenager with passengers in the vehicle all of whom reportedly had minor injuries.
The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the 101 Freeway in the vicinity of Sepulveda Boulevard and according to the California Highway Patrol the eastbound lanes remain closed while investigators were there and crews clearing away the vehicles. The lanes reopened at approximately 2:51 a.m.
