DALLAS (LAWFUEL) – Marcos Ronquillo, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Shareholder of the Dallas-based law firm Godwin Ronquillo PC, has earned selection as one of the top minority business leaders in Dallas/Fort Worth by the Dallas Business Journal.
The Second Annual Minority Business Leader Awards recognize the area’s top 30 minority business owners and corporate executives, as well as one corporate supporter of minority initiatives in Dallas’ fast-growing minority business community. The Minority Business Leader Awards luncheon will be held March 26 at the Westin Galleria in Dallas.
“This is the type of honor that is actually just as much about Godwin Ronquillo as it is about only one person,” said Mr. Ronquillo. “This firm is based upon inclusion and working together for the benefit of our clients.”
Minority Business Leader Awards selections are based on nominees’ contributions to the community and their individual corporate enterprise. Mr. Ronquillo is the only law firm representative among the business owners honored.
“Marcos is a leader in every sense of the word and fully understands that for any business to be successful, management must provide its employees with equal opportunities for success regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender or ethnicity,” says Donald E. Godwin, firm Chairman and CEO. “It is a privilege to team with Marcos in leading a law firm which has diversity as one of its bedrock principles.”
This honor is the latest for Mr. Ronquillo, who within the past year has been honored as the Corporate Individual Inclusiveness Champion of the Year by Ernst & Young and earned the 2008 Legal Diversity Award presented by the Texas Diversity Council. He is a former President of the Dallas Mexican American Bar Association and Chairman of the Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
