Mr. Hoffman, who will be based in the Washington, D.C., office, has extensive experience defending product liability cases. He was previously a partner at Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on product liability litigation and pharmaceutical regulatory work.

Before joining Arnold & Porter, Mr. Hoffman was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Civil Division, where he tried numerous cases to verdict. He also clerked for Judge James L. Buckley of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Mr. Hoffman is admitted to the bar in both New York and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Hoffman received his J.D. degree in 1990 from the University of Michigan Law School, his M.A. from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in 1985, and his B.A. from Vassar College in 1983.
