Davis Polk Advises BearingPoint, Inc. on the Sale of Its Japan Business to PricewaterhouseCoopers

Davis Polk & Wardwell advised BearingPoint, Inc. in connection with the sale of its consulting practice in Japan to PwC Advisory Co., Ltd., a PricewaterhouseCoopers firm operating in Japan. Under the terms of the agreement, PwC Advisory Co., Ltd. purchased BearingPoint’s Japan business through the purchase of all issued and outstanding shares of BearingPoint’s wholly owned subsidiary operating in Japan.

The Davis Polk corporate team included partner Theodore A. Paradise, associates Christopher J. Kodama, Mörk Murdock, Stephen Lindholm, Lindsey Finch, Hiroshi Sugiyama and Shinichi Yuhara and legal assistant Jennifer Connelly, all of the Tokyo office, as well as partner John A. Bick and associate Shane Tintle, both of the New York office. Partner Frank J. Azzopardi and associate Matthew J. Bacal, both of the New York office, provided intellectual property advice.
