LawFuel.com – Texas Lawyer News – Dallas, TX, Nov. 17, 2009 – As a sponsor of the 14th Annual Children’s Festival at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Winstead PC helped approximately 1,100 kids from Title One schools attend this year’s festival. Winstead’s contribution supported students from Hardy, Magnolia and Harris and in combination with another sponsor, Winstead also helped kids from Glen Loch attend the festival. Approximately 7,500 students from numerous public and private schools attended the festival during the school-day performances on Nov. 12 and 13, 2009.
Showcasing professional entertainers from all over the United States, Children’s Festival helps young children, ranging from pre-K to intermediate school, broaden their horizons, tap into their talents, ignite their creativity, appreciate other cultures, and develop a love and appreciation for the performing arts.
Each artist strives to broaden children’s exposure to the arts while entertaining and incorporating important educational messages into their performances. This non-traditional learning environment stimulates children’s minds while providing an atmosphere that encourages their involvement in many different activities. The festival is a big event each year in The Woodlands and was open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday Nov. 15, 2009. An estimated 14,000 people attended the festival this year.
