Accommodations for future interfaces have also been incorporated into its design. The data communication tester is designed for the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of digital networks.
GAO Comm’s handheld data communication tester, model A0300002, carries out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at speeds between 50bit/s and 2048bit/s. The sophisticated data communication tester also generates and monitors PCM30, PCM30 CRC, PCM31 and PCM31 CRC frame structures. An error analysis function allows histograms of error or alarm data to be quickly and easily displayed. The compact tester conducts both synchronous and asynchronous data transmission. The measurement results can be stored in its onboard memory.
