Clifford Chance associate awarded top prize in arbitration exam
Hong Kong: Clifford Chance associate Kanice Chan has received the prestigious Ray Hughes Memorial Prize from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ east Asia branch.
Kanice, an associate in the firm’s Hong Kong Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, achieved the best overall results in the 2008 arbitration entry course examination.
The prestigious Ray Hughes Memorial Prize was presented to her at a cocktail reception on 28 April, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
Kanice is now entitled to join the ranks of CIArb and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitration as an associate, and CIArb will also waive her joining and first-year membership fees.

Such awards also recognise the quality of Clifford Chance’s top-tier dispute resolution and arbitration practice in Asia, which comprises over 40 litigation lawyers working across the region.”
Kanice completed her LLB at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and her PCLL at City University of Hong Kong in 2006. She joined Clifford Chance in Hong Kong in August 2006, and is admitted in Hong Kong and in New South Wales.
