Avinash Ganatra to New York Office

New York, August 2, 2007 – LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – Dewey Ballantine LLP, a global law firm, announced today that Avinash V. Ganatra has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Corporate Finance Group. Mr. Ganatra joins Dewey Ballantine from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.

Mr. Ganatra represents issuers and underwriters in major initial public offerings, high-yield offerings, complex equity and debt restructurings, and private equity and venture capital transactions. He also advises clients on U.S. securities law matters, including disclosure and regulatory requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. His clients have included Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, AMC Entertainment Inc., Mirant Corporation, NASDAQ, Western Gas Resources and Xerox Corporation.

He is admitted to the New York Bar and to the Bar in India. Mr. Ganatra received an LL.M. from New York University in 1994, an LL.B. from the University of Bombay in 1993 and a B.Com. from the University of Bombay in 1990.
