Toronto, Canada, December 1, 2010 – Baker & McKenzie LLP is pleased to announce the addition of William (“Bill”) Richardson as a partner in its Toronto office. Mr. Richardson is an experienced intellectual property lawyer especially in the pharmaceutical disputes area.

“Baker & McKenzie is dedicated to growing its global patent capabilities. We see the addition of Bill as a big step in the growth of our pharmaceutical patent litigation practice, and we are very excited about his addition,” said John Flaim, Chair of the Firm’s Global Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Mr. Richardson will be a member of both the Firm’s global intellectual property and pharmaceutical practice groups, which are comprised of several hundred attorneys located across key global business markets. His significant experience and reputation in the pharmaceutical industry and Canadian legal market will complement the Firm’s global platform and capabilities in these practice areas.

He has also represented clients from a variety of industries in other significant intellectual property and commercial disputes.
