Boxalls, the dynamic and highly regarded Cayman Islands law firm, is combining with Ogier, a leading Channel Islands law firm and provider of administration services, to create a merged group of 370 lawyers and staff. It will be the first transatlantic merger of offshore law firms.
The combined Ogier Group will provide unique access to three of the world’s leading offshore jurisdictions: the Cayman Islands, Jersey and Guernsey. The Ogier Group will provide offshore legal advice and administration services from four locations: Cayman, London, Jersey and Guernsey.
Boxalls will continue as a Cayman Islands partnership offering Cayman Islands legal advice, but will adopt the name Ogier & Boxalls with effect from 1 February 2004. The ancillary administration services currently offered by Boxalls affiliate, Ironshore Corporate Services Limited (“ICSL”), will be expanded to encompass the provision of director and trustee services to investment funds and special purpose vehicles. ICSL will change its name to Ogier Fiduciary Services (Cayman) Limited also with effect from 1 February 2004.
