Brings significant trade litigation experience to International Trade practice

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs Network – DLA Piper US LLP announced that Jack A. Levy has joined the firm’s Government Affairs practice group as a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He comes to DLA Piper from WilmerHale.

Levy focuses his practice on antidumping and countervailing duty (CVD) proceedings, export control advice, customs issues and litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade, NAFTA panels and the World Trade Organization. He also advises clients on trade legislation in Congress and trade policy issues under review in the executive branch.

“Import relief proceedings and related trade litigation are a key part of the foundation of our International Trade practice,” said former Governor James J. Blanchard, chair of DLA Piper’s Government Affairs practice group. “Jack’s antidumping and CVD experience will add further depth to our high-quality team and his Canadian trade work complements our ongoing Canadian initiatives”

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Levy served for one year as a law clerk to a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on International Trade Law and the American Society for International Law.

Levy earned a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served on the Georgetown Law Journal and was elected to Order of the Coif; a M.S.F.S. from Georgetown University; and a B.A. with honors from John Hopkins University.
