Bryan Cave LLP Adds Three Attorneys in Los Angeles

LAWFUEL – Law Firm Newswire – The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP added three new attorneys to the firm’s Santa Monica office. Derrick Boston has joined the firm as counsel and will practice with three client service groups: Corporate Finance & Securities; Transactions; and the Technology, Entrepreneurial & Commercial Practice. Nafiz Cekirge and Sarah Gohmann both have joined as associates and will practice with the Commercial Litigation Group.

Boston has a broad practice in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate matters. He advises clients on matters including the initial formation and capitalization of companies, public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, bank loans and corporate restructurings. Boston has been an entrepreneur and has co-founded, managed, advised or served on the board of directors of several start-up and growth companies. He continues to advise companies seeking to commercialize high technology, including nanotechnology. Boston received his J.D. in 1987 from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1984 from Harvard College. After law school, he clerked for the Hon. John T. Noonan, Jr. on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Cekirge’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, white collar defense, mass torts and class action defense. He has defended large companies and high net worth individuals in a wide range of business disputes, SEC and DOJ investigations, and product defect and environmental tort litigations. Cekirge received his J.D., Order of the Coif, cum laude, in 1999 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A. in 1997 from Columbia University.

Gohmann was a summer associate with Bryan Cave in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Thomas Donovan, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Central District of California. Gohmann received her J.D. in 2006 from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Law and her B.A, with honors, in 2002 from the University of Michigan.
