(LAWFUEL) – Asian-Counsel magazine has named Clyde & Co as ‘Firm of the Year 2008’ for the UAE as a result of the firm’s expertise in ‘Restructuring’. Clyde & Co is the largest international law firm in the GCC.
Asian-Counsel Firms of the Year are selected annually on the basis of votes and testimonials of senior in-house counsel across Asia and the UAE. The annual survey is one of the largest surveys of in-house counsel in Asia and the Middle East. Participants are asked which law firms are their preferred external partners.
‘Restructuring’ as covered by the survey includes:
• Restructuring prior to public listing, or company or asset sale;
• Insolvency law;
• Re-organization of functions and Sale of assets;
• Bankruptcy Law;
• Refinancing of debt; and
• Outsourcing operations.
