June 7, 2007 LAWFUEL – The Law Newswire The Board of Directors of The College of Law Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Anita Kwong as its new CEO and Director of Programs, effective as of 26 June 2007.

Mr Bill O’Shea, Chair of the Board of Directors, said Anita’s experience as a Victorian barrister, legal educator and senior manager make her ideally suited to this new role.

“Student numbers at The College of Law Victoria have been steadily increasing over the last two years,” Mr O’Shea said, “and with Anita’s skills we will be able to continue to provide superior practical legal training and grow student numbers.”

Ms Kwong is keen to build on the successes of The College of Law Victoria and work closely with the Law Institute of Victoria and the profession.

“I am delighted to be joining the College, especially during this time of change in pre-admission training, which is a challenge and great opportunity,” Ms Kwong said.

Ms Kwong was the State Manager VIC/TAS at the Taxation Institute of Australia and prior to that managed Continuing Professional Development programs at Leo Cussen Institute. She brings a wealth of experience to the College from these roles and her 7 years in practice at the Victorian Bar.

Ms Kwong’s experience is underpinned by a post-graduate qualification in Management, Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts.

The College of Law Victoria also welcomes recently-appointed lecturer Kristoffer Greaves. Kristoffer joins the College after working as a solicitor, specialising in civil litigation, family law, property, business, trusts, probate and intellectual property.

He has also lectured in criminal law at the University of New England and media law at Deakin University.
