Construction and Real Estate Litigation Attorney Slade Sevier Joins Adams and Reese Nashville Office

Adams and Reese is pleased to announce that construction and real estate litigation attorney Slade Sevier has joined the firm’s Nashville office as Special Counsel.

Sevier has a litigation and transactional practice that typically involves representing contractors, private or pubic owners, developers, designers, tenants or landlords with respect to disputes and contracts related to construction, real estate development or general business. Sevier is also is a Professional Engineer with an active license in Tennessee and a patent attorney registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

“Slade has extensive, nationwide experience with construction arbitration and litigation, particularly with large construction and real estate development projects in health care and other industries,” said Brad Lampley, Partner in Charge of the Adams and Reese Nashville office. “This experience, in addition to the patent bar and his unique engineering background, will benefit clients as well as strengthen practice groups we plan to grow in Tennessee and throughout our regional footprint.”

Sevier serves as a board member of Safe Haven Family Shelter, as a member of the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and as an appointed member of the Metropolitan Nashville Stormwater Management Committee.

Sevier had been with Bass, Berry & Sims, where he helped develop and anchor its construction practice group. Sevier earned his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1995, and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School.
