DALLAS — Haynes and Boone, LLP announced Monday that four of the firm’s practice groups were recognized in Chambers USA rankings in the top tier of their category in Texas. Haynes and Boone’s Antitrust, Bankruptcy, Insurance and Real Estate practice areas were ranked in “Band 1” among Texas firms in the recent Chambers rankings.
The four practice groups were all included in the top tier in previous rankings. The Antitrust Practice Group attorneys were praised by clients for the “tremendous judgment, a history of success and an insider’s view of the complexities of U.S. antitrust law,” according to Chambers interviews.
The annual survey also ranked the firms’ Bankruptcy and Franchising practice areas among the Nation’s leading firms. Haynes and Boone’s Bankruptcy Practice Group was noted by Chambers as “one of the largest and deepest bankruptcy practices in Texas.” The Franchise Practice Group drew praise for its breadth of experience, according to Chambers.
Additionally, four attorneys received national individual recognition in their fields: Joyce Mazero and Deborah Coldwell for Franchising, Ken Reisenfeld for International Trade and Larry Pascal for Latin American Investment.
Haynes and Boone, with more than 450 attorneys in ten offices worldwide, had two lawyers – bankruptcy attorney Robert Albergotti and environmental attorney Jeff Civins – repeat in the “Star Performer” ranking by Chambers in the 2007 survey. The “Star Performer” is the highest possible ranking by Chambers USA in their survey of the nation’s law firms.
Nine Haynes and Boone attorneys were included in the survey’s first tier of attorneys, including: Michael Boone (Corporate), Nina Cortell (Litigation, Appellate), John Eldridge (Environmental), Noel Hensley (Securities Litigation), Ernest Martin (Insurance), Barry McNeil (antitrust), Robin Phelan (Bankruptcy and Reorganization) and Robert Wilson (Real Estate).

Attorneys Ronald Breaux (Antitrust), Jeffrey Becker (Intellectual Property), Steve Jenkins (Real Estate), Werner Powers (Insurance) and Donald Templin (Intellectual Property) were also ranked. Laura O’Donnell was named an “up-and-coming individual” for Labor and Employment law.
