DALLAS – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Sept. 11, 2006–Frank E. Sheeder III, a nationally prominent health care compliance and litigation practitioner, has joined international law firm Jones Day as a Partner in the Dallas office.
Mr. Sheeder represents hospitals, physician groups and a variety of other health care providers and suppliers in compliance matters, internal investigations, defense of False Claims Act, whistleblower and class action cases, and negotiations with state and federal regulators and prosecutors. He is a frequent presenter and prolific author on these subjects.

In his 19 years of law practice in Dallas, Mr. Sheeder has dealt with many state and federal regulatory agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Texas Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, United States Attorneys’ offices in a numerous federal districts, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, the Postal Inspection Service, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Mr. Sheeder is a member of the Leadership Dallas Class of 2007, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Health Care Compliance Association (Board of directors and Executive Committee), the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (Health Law Section), the State Bar of Texas, the North Texas Healthcare Compliance Professionals Association (past president) and the Dallas Bar Association (Health Law Section). He is a graduate of Boston University (J.D., 1987) and Duke University (B.A., cum laude, 1984).
