DALLAS/HOUSTON – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – A total of 49 attorneys from the Dallas and Houston offices of Gardere Wynne Sewell have been selected as 2005 Texas Super Lawyers. Gardere is represented in 22 of the 62 practice areas recognized by Texas Super Lawyers.
Gardere has placed more than 45 attorneys on the list in each of the three years the list has been compiled. Thirty-four of the attorneys on this year’s list have been three-time honorees, while nine are first-time selections.
“It is great to see the large number of our colleagues that continue to have the respect of their peers. But it is just as rewarding to see many other attorneys being selected for the first time,” Gardere Managing Partner Stephen D. Good said. “None of our attorneys actively seek these types of honors and awards. It is just something that comes from offering quality service and practicing law effectively according to the best principles of our profession.”
Earlier this year, 30 Gardere attorneys were chosen as Texas Rising Stars, a recognition representing only the top 2.5 percent of young attorneys statewide.
“We take a lot of pride in the quality of our young attorneys,” Good said. “To have so many Texas Rising Stars and so many new Texas Super Lawyers is very gratifying to us.”
Texas Super Lawyer selections are based upon peer nominations made by more than 70,000 attorneys from across the state, with a panel of lawyers chosen by the Texas Super Lawyers editors making the final selections. Fewer than 5 percent of the attorneys nominated were chosen for this honor. Texas Super Lawyers appears in the October 2005 issue of Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media, Inc.
