Deadly Florida I-95 Pileup Results In South Florida Law Firm Legal Action

BOCA RATON, Fla LAWFUEL – Litigation Announcement Service – Traffic on Interstate 95 came to a halt early on the morning of January 23 in the wake of a tragic multi-car collision. As commuters sought alternate routes to work, paramedics employed the Jaws of Life in an effort to save the lives of two accident victims. No one knows yet who or what may have caused the crash. The only certainty is that two men lost their lives that morning.

Five vehicles, including a semi trailer, were involved in the accident which occurred at 5:55 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Hallandale Beach Boulevard. According to authorities, the semi trailer was in the center lane. Apparently, a car moved into that lane, forcing the big rig to veer left. A 1996 Nissan pick-up truck driven by Saintilus Cajuste, 47, of Lake Worth was struck in the center lane by the tractor trailer and pushed to the median concrete barrier where it was pinned and then struck by other cars as well.

St. Pierre K. Dupuy, a 46-year old resident of Delray Beach, was a passenger in Mr. Cajuste’s truck that morning. Despite the valiant efforts of paramedics, both men died at the scene.

The law firm of Ellis, Ged & Bodden, P.A., has been retained to represent Mr. Dupuy’s estate. “The accident remains under investigation,” C. Glen Ged, a founding partner in the Boca-Raton based firm, says, “It’s important that we pursue the truth. The Dupuy family deserves nothing less.”

Mr. Ged, who specializes in all aspects of civil litigation with a strong emphasis on personal injury and wrongful death is seeking to find not only answers to the questions surrounding the fateful crash but justice for Mr. Dupuy’s survivors, including his wife, Mirlande, and their four-month old child. Mr. Ged graduated cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science, and earned his Juris Doctor Degree from New England School of Law in 1991. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992.
