New York – May 19, 2009 – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP advised US Investigations Services, Inc. (USIS) and its controlling shareholder, Providence Equity Partners, in the acquisition by USIS of Labat-Anderson, Incorporated, a professional services firm serving government agencies in the areas of litigation support and information systems and services. A definitive agreement was signed on May 12, 2009 and the transaction closed on May 18, 2009.
USIS is the largest commercial provider of background investigations to the federal government, a leading supplier of pre-employment screening solutions to commercial businesses, and one of the largest providers of data services to the insurance industry.
