Demi – R.I.P.

LawFuel – The Law Jobs and Legal NewsWire

Today LawFuel sad to announce the death of Demi, friend, confidante, traveller and family pet to the Bowie family. After 13 years on the planet and a range of escapades and activities that saw her venture regularly from Wellington’s Lambton Quay to her home in Messines Road and on one occasion to the Happy Valley Landfill for almost a week she was struck and killed by an errant motorcyclist shortly before 8am this morning only a short distance from the Russian Embassy.

Although no comment was made by the Russians it is not believed they were involved in her demise, notwithstanding their seizure of a cat from the family some years earlier.

Demi’s final walk last evening was ironically from an old people’s home in Karori when she was able to enjoy the scents and streets of her beloved neighbourhood.

“She was the best pet imaginable with an intuition and understanding far beyond her ‘dog’ status. From her humble birthplace in Dannevirke she became a firm favourite with many people City-wide and in her holiday digs in Nelson,” said John Bowie.

The family thank those who have expressed their regrets and ask that any donations go to the local SPCA or ACT party, as the case may be.
