(LAWFUEL) – DLA Phillips Fox has been ranked as the top law firm in New Zealand and Australia for the value of its IPO Equity Issues deals in 2008. The firm has also been placed in the top 10 of the three major league tables for the volume of merger & acquisition deals it undertook last year.
Bloombergs IPO Equity Issuer Tables for 2008 showed DLA Phillips Fox advised on US$572m worth of equity IPOs and gained a market share of 32.2 percent.
All three major M&A league tables – Mergermarket, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters – placed DLA Phillips Fox in the top 10 legal advisers by volume of M&A deals in New Zealand and Australia for the 2008 calendar year.
DLA Phillips Foxs exclusive alliance partner, DLA Piper, was ranked by Mergermarket as the number one law firm for global M&A deals by volume in 2008. DLA Piper was also placed first for global mid market M&A, European mid market M&A, UK M&A and second by volume for Greater China M&A.
