DLA Piper Assists Henderson Global Investors In Railway Sell-Off

London – LAWFUEL – Legal Newswire – DLA Piper have advised John Laing plc and Henderson Equity Partners on the disposal of Laing Rail to Deutsche Bahn for an undisclosed sum.

Laing Rail is the owner of John Laing plc’s railway interests including the Chiltern Railways Franchise – one of the most respected in the UK operating trains from London Marylebone to Aylesbury, High Wycombe and the Midlands It also has one of the longest UK rail franchises, a 20-year contract which was awarded in 2000. Laing Rail also has 50 per cent. stakes in the London Overground concession and the Wrexham, Shropshire and Marylebone Railway.
