DLA PIPER RECRUITS IT AND OUTSOURCING TEAM IN PARIS

25 October 2010 – Paris — DLA Piper announced today that Stéphane Lemarchand is to join its Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Paris as a partner on 2 November. He will join with a team of four associates from Bird & Bird.

Stéphane is a renowned specialist in IT and ecommerce law, with a transactional and litigation practice. He advises IT service providers and global companies on a range of matters, particularly outsourcing and cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Stéphane was a partner at Bird & Bird for 10 years. Whilst there, he lead the IT practice in Paris, and was also joint head of the international IT sector and the Outsourcing practice group.

Stéphane regularly writes articles for the press and is a frequent speaker at international conferences on IT and ecommerce matters. He lecturers on IT contracts at Paris University and is also a member of the board of directors at the international association, ITechLaw.

The arrival of Stéphane and his team will further strengthen DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Paris, which recently recruited a team of three specialists in trademark law, led by Lauren Julien-Raes and renowned patent litigation lawyer, Jean-Christophe Tristant.
