14 October 2010 – Budapest — DLA Piper has recruited Gábor Borbély to lead the finance team within its Finance and Projects practice in Budapest, effective 11 October 2010.
Gábor advises on both domestic and international finance transactions, including asset and acquisition financing, syndicated loans, projects and PPP’s. His expertise also covers restructurings and inter-creditor arrangements. Gábor works across a variety of sectors but is particularly experienced acting for lenders or borrowers within the real estate market, and on infrastructure and energy transactions in Hungary and Romania. His clients include major Hungarian and international banks, as well as multinational corporations.
Prior to joining DLA Piper Gábor was a senior associate in the Banking and Finance team at Allen & Overy. Whilst there, he was seconded to the London office and also spent a considerable period of time as a secondee at a leading Hungarian commercial bank.
Gábor graduated from ELTE University in Budapest and has a master’s degree in international business law from the Central European University (CEU).
