This handheld optical light source, model 5202, features compact size, ease of use, highly stable output power and wavelength. It provides 1 to 4 output wavelengths to meet specific requirements including 650nm red source, 1310/1550nm wavelengths for single mode fiber and 850/1300nm wavelengths for multimode fiber. Other wavelengths are available to meet specific needs. The compact optical light source, equipped with a backlight LCD display, provides a clear display of test results. Together with GAO’s 5303 optical power meter, the pair acts as a perfect solution for the fiber optic network characterization. Ten minutes auto-off function allows for battery life conservation.
