(Baton Rouge, LA) LAWFUEL – Adams and Reese LLP is pleased announced that former Assistant Attorney General Rand Dennis has joined the Litigation Practice Group as Special Counsel in the firm’s Baton Rouge office.
Dennis is a former Assistant Attorney General, and served 10 years as Executive and General Counsel. He has served as litigation counsel to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, Louisiana State Police, Louisiana Lottery Corporation, and the Charitable Gaming Division of the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Dennis has also worked closely with the state legislature and administrative agencies interpreting, explaining, and drafting regulatory legislation.
“Rand has had a diverse and impressive legal career,” says James R. Austin, Partner in Charge of the Baton Rouge office. “During his 10 years at the Attorney General’s office he worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement and with the state legislature and administrative agencies to gain valuable experience in both litigation and administrative law. Prior to that, he enjoyed great success in his private practice. We are thrilled to have him join us.”
Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office in 1998, Dennis was engaged in the private practice of law representing a variety of corporate clients in major business litigation concentrating on business, insurance and employment, as well as contracts and real estate.

Mr. Dennis earned his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University in 1980. While a Law Review candidate, his article, Olsen v. Shell Oil: Expanded Liability for Offshore Oil Platform Owners, was published in the Louisiana Law Review. Mr. Dennis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University in 1975.
