PORTLAND, Ore.–LAWFUEL – Legal News, Legal Jobs–Fios® Inc., a leading provider of electronic discovery and litigation readiness services, today announced the latest addition to its fast-growing Discovery Management Services (DMS) team. Sam Panarella, Esq. has joined Fios’ DMS team as an engagement manager. Panarella brings nearly 10 years experience advising clients on a wide variety of legal matters, including the last seven as an attorney and partner at Stoel Rives LLP, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States. The addition of Panarella represents Fios’ continued commitment to meeting the large-scale demand for its litigation readiness services delivered to corporations faced with frequent litigation, anti-trust, regulatory compliance and investigation issues.

“As December 1st approaches, and the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure governing discovery go into effect, the demand for our litigation readiness services is reaching unprecedented levels,” said Prashant Dubey, vice president and general manager of Discovery Management Services at Fios. “Sam’s knowledge of the law, his appreciation for the criticality of outside counsel involvement in the litigation readiness process, and his experience helping corporations solve complex business challenges will help us meet this demand. His expertise in the energy sector, which is a key focus area for Fios, will also be very valuable to our clients.”

As an engagement manager on Fios’ DMS team, Panarella will help clients proactively plan for discovery, assess gaps in their existing systems, and help them establish business processes that reduce the time, costs and risks throughout each phase of the discovery response process. Prior to joining Fios, Panarella specialized in advising clients on high-level business projects, such as the acquisition and sale of power plants; project development; and the acquisition, sale, development, permitting, and leasing of commercial real estate. His primary areas of focus include energy law, land use management, natural resources and real estate development. Panarella received his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Montana.
