Greenberg Traurig Expands Real Estate Law Practice With New Jersey Addition – Attorney & Lawyer News Daily

Morristown, NJ, November 3, 2009 — Steven D. Fleissig has joined the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP in the New Jersey office as a shareholder in the Real Estate Practice. Fleissig joins from Herrick, Feinstein LLP, where he was a partner. Fleissig will be leading the New Jersey’s office’s Real Estate Practice and collaborating with real estate attorneys in the firm’s New York and White Plains offices, as well as attorneys throughout the firm.

“I am excited to be joining Greenberg Traurig and am looking forward to developing the real estate practice in New Jersey, building upon the framework already in place in the real estate group,” said Fleissig.

Fleissig focuses his practice on a variety of real estate and finance-related issues. He advises real estate owners on purchase, sale, leasing and financing matters. He is also experienced in representing lending institutions in real estate and asset-based financing transactions, restructurings and workouts.

Fleissig has lectured on multiple borrower lending transactions, mortgage foreclosure strategies, UCC issues, and retail leasing strategies. He has also written on UCC legislative developments, Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges, and New Jersey lending laws.

Fleissig earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
