HOUSTON (LAWFUEL) – Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyer Robert Levy has been awarded the Ben Susholtz Young Leadership Award by the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston in recognition of his commitment to preserving Jewish communal life through leadership and activism.
The Young Leadership Awards are given to men and women who have demonstrated a commitment to the Jewish people through activism, community involvement, and individual achievements.
Levy is an active member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston’s board of trustees and currently serves as president of the Robert M. Beren Academy. He is a past chair of the attorney’s division of the Jewish Federation.
He is a board member of United Orthodox Synagogues and a member of the Wexner Heritage Foundation Leadership Program. He is also a member of the AIPAC Houston Council and chair of the education committee for Congregation Brith Shalom. And he has participated in the American Jewish Committee’s Leadership Development Program.
Professionally, Levy serves on the board of the Houston Volunteer Lawyers and chairs the organization’s project technology committee. Levy co-chairs Haynes and Boone’s public service committee. He was an examiner for the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

At Haynes and Boone, Levy is a partner in the Business Litigation Practice Group. With more than 20 years experience, his practice focuses on business litigation and international arbitration including breach of contract, insurance coverage, shareholder derivative suits, trade secrets, and franchising actions with an emphasis on technology related matters. He has coordinated responses to Second Requests for Information issued pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. He also advises corporations on implementation of records retention policies and the development of records hold procedures. He serves on the Working Group One on Electronic Discovery of the Sedona Conference
