ATLANTA (October 3) – LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – Kilpatrick Stockton LLP and Abrams, Davis, Mason & Long LLC announced today the formation of a new law firm specializing in the areas of wills, trusts, estates, family business and tax planning, charitable giving, and tax-exempt entities.
Both firms emphasize that the departure from Kilpatrick Stockton is amicable. As of October 1, the Abrams Davis firm will actually occupy space adjacent to Kilpatrick Stockton’s offices in Suite 2860,1100 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30309. Kilpatrick Stockton, which will no longer have a Trusts & Estates Practice in Atlanta, plans to refer clients to the new firm.
Initially, Abrams, Davis, Mason & Long will consist of the existing Trusts and Estates group at Kilpatrick Stockton’s Atlanta office. The four principals in the new firm, Harold Abrams, Kim Davis, Suzanne Mason, and Mary Balent Long, will be joined by their experienced associates, Paige Baker and Laura Traylor. Suzanne Mason and Mary Long will be the Co-Managing Partners of the Abrams Davis firm. Suzanne is recognized as a “Georgia Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics magazine and as a “Georgia Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend magazine. Mary is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney. Hal Abrams, a “dean” in the trusts and estates area and a past President of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and the Atlanta Tax Forum, explained the decision to form a separate firm. “A specialized firm model is optimal for our clients and our practice.
