International law firm Coudert Brothers is continuing its push to expand the firm’s capability in international arbitration. Well established and with a premier reputation internationally in the field, the firm is further bolstering its capabilities in Asia Pacific following two new appointments in Singapore, which is fast establishing itself as a regional centre for dispute resolution.

Sin Lye Kuen has been appointed a partner of the firm and will be based in Coudert Brothers’ Singapore office. Joining him will be Candice Kwok, also skilled in litigation and arbitration, who joins Coudert Brothers as an associate of the firm.

According to Coudert Brothers chairman David Huebner “A key strategic objective of the firm is to expand and diversify Coudert’s premier international arbitration practice and Sin Lye Kuen has a strong reputation in the field.”

Lye Kuen brings to Coudert Brothers a deep understanding and wealth of experience regarding litigation and arbitration in South East Asia. He has particular expertise in complex, commercial disputes involving multinational enterprises, maritime transportation, pulp and paper enterprises and power and gas installations.

Sin Lye Kuen and Candice Kwok were formerly with Singapore law firm Khattar Wong & Partners.
