ATLANTA (January 8) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Miles Alexander, Steve Clay, and Dudley Humphrey have been elected as Firm Co-Chairs. Bill Boice, Rich Cicchillo, and Mark Wincek have been elected to the Firm Executive Committee.
Miles Alexander, the senior partner in the firm’s internationally renowned Intellectual Property Department in Atlanta, has been a Firm Co-Chair since 1997. Mr. Alexander has served as lead counsel for numerous Fortune 500 companies in major intellectual property disputes and is a leader in the field of alternative dispute resolution directed at avoiding the growing costs of litigation.
Steve Clay, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department in Atlanta, has served as a Firm Co-Chair since 2002. Mr. Clay has an active commercial litigation practice and also has extensive experience in international arbitration disputes. He was recently selected to serve a three-year term as a U.S. representative on the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration. Mr. Clay also serves as an arbitrator and a mediator.
Dudley Humphrey, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department in Winston-Salem, practices law in the areas of aviation law, general business, bankruptcy, construction law, business litigation, and selective trust and estate matters. Mr. Humphrey is Chair of the North Carolina Department of Transportation Aeronautics Council, a member of the North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission and a member of the House of Delegates. He was President of the North Carolina State Bar in 2003-04.
Bill Boice, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department in Atlanta, has served on the Executive Committee since 2002. Mr. Boice is Co-Chair of the firm’s Patent Litigation Team and has substantial trial experience representing significant corporate clients in a wide variety of cases. His trial practice is focused on complex litigation including patent and trade secret litigation, class actions, business torts and other business litigation.
Rich Cicchillo, a partner in Atlanta, is Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department. Mr. Cicchillo works on a wide variety of corporate and commercial transactions, with a focus on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He joined Kilpatrick Stockton after completing a clerkship with Judge Ed Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Mark Wincek, a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department in Washington, DC, is Chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Compensation Team. His practice concentrates on counseling clients on employee benefits and executive compensation, and representing clients in these areas before the federal agencies and Congress. He was on the staff of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, serving as Senior Subcommittee Counsel to the Ways and Means Oversight Committee from 1980 to 1981.
