Kilpatrick Stockton LLP today announced the addition of five attorneys to the firm’s growing Washington D.C. office: Mark Stember, Len Malamud, Vinay Jolly, Amanda McCoy, and Michael White.

Mark Stember joins Kilpatrick Stockton as Counsel in the firm’s Employee Benefits Practice Group. Mr. Stember’s past experience includes a wide-range of work including counseling clients on the tax and related aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation. Mr. Stember received his B.S. in accounting in 1991 from St. Cloud State University, his J.D. in 1995 from the Hamline University School of Law, and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Missouri in 1996.
Len Malamud joins Kilpatrick Stockton as Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. He brings 25 years of experience in drafting and negotiating real property documents, as well as extensive experience in the field of Government contracts, most recently for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Specifically, Mr. Malamud was responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts and defending the agency’s contracting decisions in various legal forums, such as the General Accounting Office, United States District Court, and the VA Board of Contract Appeals. Mr. Malamud earned his B.A. and M.A. in Public Affairs, and his J.D. all from George Washington University.
Mr. Malamud’s practice will focus on the firm’s expanding federal real estate and infrastructure practice, especially Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal leasing and real estate acquisitions.
Vinay Jolly joins Kilpatrick Stockton as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He brings extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including products liability, commercial, general liability, and medical malpractice. Mr. Jolly’s background includes work at the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Department of Justice in the Antitrust division. Mr. Jolly received his B.A. in political science from Tulane University in 1997 and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America in 2001.
Amanda McCoy, who joins Kilpatrick Stockton as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, will focus on trademark matters. Ms. McCoy received her B.A. in English from Duke University in 1999 and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004 where she was on the editorial board for the Virginia Law Review.
Michael White joins Kilpatrick Stockton as an associate in the firm’s Environmental Practice Group. He brings valuable experience to Kilpatrick Stockton, including work as an investigator on numerous environmental cases. Mr. White received his B.A. in History from Colgate University in 1992 and his J.D. from George Washington University in 2004. While at George Washington University, he was a George Washington Scholar and a staff member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Journal.
