ATLANTA (October 16) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that attorneys Jay Bogan, Allen Garrett, and Mark Levy will participate in the second-ever Eleventh Circuit Appellate Practice Institute, which will be held October 23 -24, 2008, during the Eleventh Circuit’s en banc week. Mr. Bogan will serve as Chair of Institute, and Mr. Garrett and Mr. Levy will each serve as panelists on the “Writing the Winning Brief” session.
This well–recognized conference is being sponsored by the appellate practice sections of the Georgia, Florida and Alabama bars (the three states within the Eleventh Circuit). U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will serve as the keynote speaker for the event, and most of the judges sitting on the Eleventh Circuit will participate.
Mr. Bogan, a partner in Kilpatrick Stockton’s Litigation Practice Group, is the Chair of the Georgia State Bar’s Appellate Practice Section, a member of the firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice Group, and the leader of the firm’s Technology Litigation Team.
