WASHINGTON, D.C. – LAWFUEL – July 15, 2008 – Holland & Knight Managing Partner Steven Sonberg has appointed litigation partner Paul Kiernan to serve as Executive Partner of the firm’s Mid-Atlantic Region, which includes offices in Washington, D.C., Bethesda, Md., and McLean, Va.
Kiernan will be responsible for supervising the management of the firm’s largest region of offices where almost 500 lawyers and staff are employed. Holland & Knight’s Mid-Atlantic Region is known for its strength in real estate, government representation and lobbying, litigation, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Kiernan is a trial and appellate lawyer who handles complex corporate and real estate litigation as well as disputes involving local governments. He was named a 2008 Washington, D.C. Super Lawyer for business litigation by Super Lawyers magazine. He is a 1983 graduate from Harvard Law School.
