Law Firms – Two Luce Forward Attorneys Get Recognized in Real Estate Southern California Magazine as “Most Influencial Women”

SAN DIEGO (October 5, 2009) – Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, a prominent California law firm with a national reputation, today announced partners Nancy Scull and Marjorie Burchett have been recognized by Real Estate Southern California magazine as two of the region’s “Most Influential Women” for 2009.

As members of Luce Forward’s Real Estate Practice Group, Scull and Burchett represent some of the largest publically traded developers in the country and are industry-recognized leaders in mixed-use real estate with deep experience in building one of California’s best known common interest development practices. Their work includes many of the major mixed-use projects in Downtown San Diego as well as those in Los Angeles, Santa Ana and other cities throughout California.
Scull and Burchett are also part of the firm’s Distressed Real Estate group. Most recently, Scull and Burchett have been hosting seminars on “Acquiring and Disposing of Broken Condominium Projects” throughout the region which provide guidance to individuals involved with distressed real estate deals.

“Nancy’s and Marjorie’s recognition by Real Estate Southern California is a testament to their incredible work throughout the state,” said Kurt L. Kicklighter, Luce Forward’s Managing Partner. “I congratulate them both on this well deserved honor.”

Real Estate Southern California’s annual “Women of Influence” list honors women throughout the region for their “contributions to commercial real estate and their devotion to the enrichment of their communities.” This is the sixth year that Scull has been recognized by Real Estate Southern California as one of Southern California’s “Most Influential Women,” and the first recognition for Burchett.
